Nukus, October 24-25, 2019

On October 25-25, 2019, in Nukus city the High-level International conference “On declaring Aral Sea Region as
an environmental zone of innovation and technology” was held by the initiative of the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan and under the auspices of the United Nations.


On December 23, 2019, the Mission of the Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE / ODIHR) published on the official website the Statement of preliminary findings and conclusions from the monitoring results of parliamentary elections in Uzbekistan from November 25 to December 23 this year.

Blue domes of Samarkand and Bukhara, ancient city in the desert of the country – Khiva, fast growing capital – Tashkent are luring tourists around the world to Uzbekistan. The country has made it to the list of Top 10 regions to visit in 2020 by Lonely Planet and other media giants like CNN and National Geographic joined major travel platform in recommending the country as your next travel stop.

Uzbekistan is named “Country of the Year” by the British magazine The Economist. Every year, the publication nominates the states that succeeded in making the greatest progress in the affairs of democracy for the title of Country of the Year.
